1.1.2 PRIMARY DRIVES - The SuperMax BIG TWIN SILENT DRIVE

The SILENT DRIVE has a special SuperMax design clutch basket.

The SILENT DRIVE is a cast polyurethane unit.

The SILENT DRIVE is for kick start applications only.

The SILENT DRIVE features:

Available in a choice of colors: candy or opaque, red, purple, blue, orange, maroon, black, or yellow. These can be custom mixed as per your sample. (Many variations are available).

All SILENT DRIVE kits include: A clutch basket, 1 engine pulley, 1 belt, 1 motor nut, and complete instructions which must be followed to the letter (no motor nut with tapered shaft).

STK 36-54

Big Twin 4 speeds 1936 to 1954, Rigid frame-Tin primary-tapered motor shaft. Pitch is 14mm, belt is 80 tooth 1-1/4" wide, center distance 13 1/4"

SSK 55-64

Big Twin 4 speeds 1955 to 1964. Rigid frames and early swing arm frames to 1964. Tin primary-splined motor shaft. Pitch is 14mm, belt is 80, tooth 1-1/4" wide. Both the SSK and the STK are available in a 38 or 37 tooth clutch basket and a 25 or 27 tooth engine pulley.

Gear ratios may be: 37-25 1.48 to 1

*37-27 1.37 to 1

38-25 1.52 to 1

*38-27 1.40 to 1

* Higher ratios are for large motors - 93" or larger

SGK 65-69

Big Twin 4 speeds 1965 to 1969. Swing arm frame-cast primary-splined motor shaft. Pitch is 13.8mm, clutch basket is 37 tooth, engine pulley is 24 tooth, Belt is 78 tooth 1-1/4" wide, gear ratio is 1.54 to 1. Center distance 12 13/16".

SAK 70-84

Big Twin 4 speeds 1970 to 1984. Swing arm frame-cast primary-splined motor shaft alternator motor. Pitch is 13.8mm, clutch basket is 37 tooth, engine pulley is 24 tooth, belt is 78 tooth 1-1/4" wide, gear ratio is 1.54 to 1.
